SUMMARY OF 800 PM PDT...0300 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...25.6N 128.5W ABOUT 1185 MI...1905 KM WNW OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...35 MPH...55 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...WNW OR 300 DEGREES AT 14 MPH...22 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1007 MB...29.74 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Hilary was located near latitude 25.6 North, longitude 128.5 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or so with some decrease in forward speed. Maximum sustained winds have dropped to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. The remnant low should gradually spin down over the next day or so. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
