For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Central East Pacific: 
An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles 
south of the southwestern coast of Mexico early next week.  
Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for gradual 
development of this system, and a tropical depression could form 
during the middle to latter parts of next week while it moves 
west-northwestward over the central portion of the eastern Pacific.

* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...40 percent.
